The Bandon Road corridor in Vineyard, in the North West growth corridor of Sydney, is being upgraded.
The project will be delivered in stages. Early works comprise a new car park at Vineyard Train Station, a new bus stop and intersection and safety improvements. Main works will comprise:
- widening Bandon Road to a dual carriageway between Richmond Road and Windsor Road
- central median to accommodate future widening to six lanes
- shared path for pedestrians and cyclists
- grade-separated crossing of the Richmond railway line at Vineyard
- delivery of upgraded and signalised intersections
- pedestrian bridge connecting Riverstone Parade and Wallace Road
- upgrade and realignment of Wallace Road, including improvements to the designated flood evacuation route
- upgrade the Bandon Road flood-evacuation route between realigned Wallace Road and Windsor Road, and
- a new Southern Connection Road, including improvements to the flood-evacuation route.
