The Emeroo Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a proposed 225 MW / 900 MWh grid-scale battery co-located with the existing Bungula Solar Farm, 15 kilometres northeast of Port Augusta, SA.
The project is expected to connect to the NEM via the existing ElectraNet Emeroo Substation.
