Stage Two of the Parramatta Light Rail will connect Stage One of the Parramatta Light Rail and Parramatta CBD to Sydney Olympic Park via Camellia, Rydalmere, Ermington, Melrose Park and Wentworth Point.
Stage Two is being delivered across two separate phases - Stage 2a and 2b. The full scope of Stage Two includes:
- 10 kilometres of new light rail track
- 14 stations
- 9.5 kilometres of active transport pathways, and
- a shared light rail and pedestrian zone along Dawn Fraser Avenue in Sydney Olympic Park between Australia Avenue and Olympic Boulevard.
The scope of the Stage 2a - Rail Systems Supply package includes design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, handover and support of all vehicles required for PLR Stage 2.
Other packages being delivered as part of stage Two include:
- Stage Two - Enabling Works
- Stage 2a - Main Works, and
- Stage 2a - Light Rail Vehicle Supply.
Stage 2b will comprise track and an additional five stations between Wentworth Point and Sydney Olympic Park.

| Procurement note: | The Stage 2a - Main Works package will be delivered through an Early Contractor Involvement Design and Construct Contract. The successful suppliers for the Light Rail Vehicle Supply and Rail Systems Supply packages will be selected by the successful Main Works contractor. The commercial agreements between the Main Works contractor and vehicle and systems suppliers will be agreed to during the ECI phase. Procurement for prequalified Light Rail Vehicle Suppliers and Rail Systems Supply will proceed in tandem with Main Works procurement. |
