New Mandurah Hospital

The Peel Health Campus Redevelopment will see the delivery of the New Mandurah Hospital delivered on the existing site. The scope of the project includes delivery of:

  • an expanded Emergency Department
  • a dedicated Mental Health Emergency Centre
  • additional inpatient and specialist palliative care beds
  • expanded chemotherapy and outpatient services, and
  • new operating theatres and clinical support spaces.

The Peel Health Campus was acquired by the Western Australian Government in 2024.

PROJECT HISTORY

Aug 2024 Ownership of the Peel Health Campus transfered to the Western Australian Government, with South Metropolitan Health Service managing and operating the hospital.
Jan 2025 The forward works contract, comprising delivery of additional parking, engineering services, and a new energy plant shell, was awarded to Devlyn Australia.
Nov 2025 The Western Australian Government announced that a greenfields site had been selected for the Peel Health Campus Redevelopment, following assessment by the Office of Major Infrastructure Delivery.
Nov 2025 The Western Australian Government called for Requests for Proposals for an alliance contract to deliver the project. Submissions close 9 December.
Jan 2026 The Western Australian Government announced that a joint venture of Built and Sacyr Construction was selected as preferred alliance partners for the project.
Aug 2026 Construction commenced on the New Mandurah Hospital following the formal awarding of the main works contract.
Aug 2026 A development application for a new six-storey building and central energy plant was submitted to the Western Australian Planning Commission under the Peel Region Scheme.
