Supernode Battery Stage Three

The Supernode Battery is a proposed data centre-integrated facility powered by renewable generation and battery storage. The project is located near the South Pine electricity substation.

Stage Three would involve the delivery of a 250-megawatt / 1,000-megawatt hour Battery Energy Storage System.

PROJECT HISTORY

Apr 2025 Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners announced Stage Three of the Supernode BESS would proceed, following an offtake agreement being signed with Stanwell Corporation. The contract is subject to conditions, including Quinbrook reaching financial close for the proposed project by 30 September 2025.
Jul 2026 Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners announced that Stage Three reached financial close on a $469 million debt package. Financing was provided by Commonwealth Bank of Australia, MUFG, Deutsche Bank, DNB and Rabobank.
